Cradle Facilitates International Expertise for Entrepreneur Growth

Global platform of mentors from MentorSquare to spur international expansion​

Kuala Lumpur, 10 March 2011 – Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd, manager of the Cradle Investment Programme (CIP) under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance (MoF), today further enhanced the commercialisation potential of their grant recipients and contributed to the strength of the technopreneurship ecosystem with a workshop by international mentoring firm, MentorSquare.

“This workshop is part of Cradle’s ongoing effort to enrich technopreneurs with useful knowledge and information to help them at the most vital entrepreneurial stage, which is the go-to-market or commercialisation stage. Via ur partnership with MentorSquare, the participants of the workshop can benefit from their specially designed go-to-market acceleration programme, by which we hope to elevate the entrepreneurs’ knowledge on the mitigation of business risks and assist them in attaining commercialisation,” said Nazrin Hassan, Chief Executive Officer of Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd.

The one-day workshop, which also featured a networking session and a one-on-one personal mentoring session, saw the mentors from MentorSquare imparting knowledge on exploring technology and its application to real world problems, identifying potential paying customers, designing business models around specific technologies, and designing go-to-market strategy.

“No matter which field the technopreneurs are in, they will be able to obtain useful information from the mentors conducting the workshop, who are very experienced and successful entrepreneurs or business professionals with vast strategy, funding and marketing experience in diverse domains. Besides, MentorSquare’s global platform of mentors from more than 120 countries around the world are also a bridge to international business success, as their international experience and exposure provide the opportunity for local entrepreneurs to interact , learn and gain crucial knowledge,” Nazrin said, adding that Cradle has always wanted entrepreneurs to start thinking about expanding and marketing internationally, right from day one of their development.

I find it very helpful to hear the experts opinions on areas that are important to me such as approaches to product marketing and commercialisation.
