Kuala Lumpur-29 November 2011 – Cradle as agency under the Ministry Of Finance, recently completed its Corporate Social Responsibilities(CSR) programme for 2011 with the presentation of 44 Back To School packs to residents of the Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (RACTAR) in Subang Jaya.

“every day, cradle team works to help technopreneurs and to help develop Malaysia’s technopreneurial landscape into a first-world one, which we hope will help Malaysia’s aim to become a developed nation with a high-income economy. Today, we are doing something a little smaller with our back to School contribution, but no less important, as these girls and young women at RACTAR may one day lead your nation. Having more opportunities to do well in their studies is just the beginning” said Dato’ Sallehudin Othman, Chairman of Cradle Fund Sdn bhd, who presented the Back To School packs together with Mohammad Iqbal Yusof @ Omar, Cradle’s Chief Financial Officer.

The packs, containing school uniforms, shoes and socks, and other supplies, were distributed to school-going residents of the charity home aged between 7 and 17 years. RACTAR is home to 61 orphaned or underprivileged girls and young women aged between 4 to 19 years, some of whom are working or enrolled in vocational training.

“I am always touched by the warmth and generosity of Malaysians, who are always keen to help our residents, and I am delighted to welcome the Cradle team back today. The children had a great time with them last month when they came over to record the uniform and shoe sizes of the children .” said Dzulkarnain Mansor, the Administrator of RACTAR.

After the presentation, Cradle treated the residents of RACTAR to a specially-catered lunch where their delegation of 15 personnel enjoyed getting to know the girls over their meal.
